Membership

Join the National Bishops Council of Pakistan

Bring your church into a fellowship of 100+ Pakistani churches. Membership gives spiritual covering, an advocacy platform and access to education, and asks only faithfulness, honesty and a willingness to walk with others.

Benefits of joining

What membership gives your church

Receive spiritual covering, leadership support and encouragement through a nationwide network committed to prayer, unity and biblical truth.

Spiritual covering

A district Bishop who prays for, visits and counsels the pastor and the congregation; fellowship with like-minded Christian leaders across Pakistan; encouragement, mutual prayer and shared wisdom.

An advocacy platform

A united voice before local and national authorities. As a member, your church's concerns are raised by a council of 100+ churches, especially in times of difficulty.

Education and development

Leadership training for pastors and leaders, and access to the Maranatha Christian High Schools for the children of the congregation where a school is within reach.

Who can join

Open to churches across Pakistan

Membership is open to Christian churches and fellowships in Pakistan that hold to the Bible as the Word of God, are led by a recognised pastor or leader, and are willing to walk in fellowship with other churches. Independent congregations, small house fellowships and established churches are all welcome. Size does not matter; faithfulness does.

  • Faithfulness to Scripture in teaching and life
  • Honesty and accountability in leadership
  • A commitment to love and cooperate with the other member churches
  • No change to your church's name, worship style or property
How to apply

From first enquiry to welcome

  1. Write to the Council

Use the form below: the church's name, location, pastor and a few lines about its history.

  2. A visit from your district Bishop

The office in Lahore passes the enquiry to the Bishop serving that district, who arranges a visit or a meeting.

  3. Agreement and welcome

Where both are agreed on the Council's statement of faith and expectations, the church is welcomed, receives its certificate, and is introduced to neighbouring member churches.

Membership application

Tell us about your church. The office in Lahore will reply and pass your enquiry to the Bishop serving your district. There is no cost to enquire.

Your details are seen only by the Council office and the Bishop of your district.
