The National Bishops Council of Pakistan
At the Council we believe in the power of unity, faith and service. Since our founding in 2017, NBC Pakistan has worked to bring together pastors, leaders and congregations with a shared mission: to proclaim the Gospel, support Christian communities and stand for justice and dignity in Pakistan.
Many of our member churches are independent, yet they stand united under the spiritual covering of the Council. Our leadership comprises respected Bishops serving in various districts, working to meet the spiritual, educational and social needs of the Christian community from our office in Lahore.
Faith in action: four pillars
Everything the Council does grows from four commitments made in 2017 and kept by every member church since.
Spiritual Fellowship & Leadership
A spiritual covering for pastors and church leaders: a network of mutual prayer, discipleship, honest counsel and collaboration, so that no leader in the Council serves alone.
Advocacy & Representation
A united voice for Christian communities in Pakistan: representing member churches before local and national authorities on religious freedom, education and social justice, calmly and within the law.
Education & Development
Five tuition-free Maranatha Christian High Schools and leadership training, giving children and church leaders access to quality, faith-based education across Pakistan.
Community Service
Beyond the church walls: ministries of mercy that care for the marginalised, support widows and orphans, and strengthen under-resourced communities in every district where the Council serves.

Maranatha Christian High Schools
The Council operates 5 Maranatha Christian High Schools, offering tuition-free education to children from poor Christian families. Each school follows the national curriculum and teaches the faith openly, so that a child grows in knowledge and in hope.
Tuition-free Christian schools in Pakistan are rare. These five exist because member churches, Bishops and friends of the Council believe the next generation deserves both a good education and a living faith.
The Church is not just a building. It is a living, breathing body.
NBC Pakistan exists to strengthen that body: bringing spiritual leaders together under one banner, offering a unified voice for the Christian community, equipping churches with resources and education, and encouraging local congregations to serve their communities with compassion and faith.
