Why the schools exist

Tuition-free, so that no child is left behind

We operate 5 Maranatha Christian High Schools, offering tuition-free education to empower the next generation with knowledge and faith. Many of the families we serve work in brick kilns, in fields, in sanitation or in domestic service, and even a small monthly fee can end a child's schooling. Removing tuition fees removes that risk.

The schools were launched by the Council to provide free, quality education to underprivileged children, empowering them to build a brighter future. Every Maranatha Christian High School belongs to the Council and is overseen by its Bishops.

What the schools offer

A good education and a living faith

  • Tuition-free places for children of poor Christian families
  • The national curriculum, leading to the recognised board examinations
  • English, Urdu, mathematics, science and social studies
  • Daily Bible reading, prayer and Christian character formation
  • Teachers chosen for their character as well as their qualifications
  • A safe, orderly and caring environment for boys and girls
How to enrol

Three simple steps

  1. Ask which school is nearest

Speak to the pastor of a member church, or write to the Council office through the Contact page with your town or district, and we will tell you which Maranatha Christian High School is closest to you.

  2. Visit the school with the child's papers

Bring the child's birth certificate or B-form and any previous school record. The school will explain the classes available and the admission date.

  3. Apply early

Places are limited by the size of each school, so families are encouraged to apply early in the year. There are no tuition fees at any stage.

Support a student

Tuition-free does not mean cost-free. Teachers must be paid, books must be bought and buildings must be maintained. Churches and individuals who wish to support a student, a classroom or a school can write to the Council through the Contact page with the subject "Maranatha Christian High Schools". Every gift is used for the schools alone.
