The vision of the National Bishops Council of Pakistan is rooted in our commitment to fostering unity, serving communities and proclaiming the Gospel. Through our network of churches and schools we are creating a legacy of faith, hope and service for future generations.
Our leadership comprises respected Bishops serving in various districts, working to address the spiritual, educational and social needs of the Christian community, inspiring hope and fostering unity.
What the vision commits us to
1. Fostering unity
Bringing together churches from across Pakistan to stand as one body in Christ: independent congregations, united under one spiritual covering, learning to walk together in love.
2. Community service
Addressing the needs of our communities through education, advocacy and spiritual guidance, so that the poorest families in every district are seen, served and strengthened.
3. Proclaiming the Gospel
Spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ to every corner of Pakistan through the life, worship and witness of the member churches.
Faith in action: four pillars
The mission of NBC Pakistan is carried out through four pillars, each held by the Bishops and the member churches.
Spiritual Fellowship & Leadership
A spiritual covering for pastors and church leaders: a network of mutual prayer, discipleship, honest counsel and collaboration, so that no leader in the Council serves alone.
Advocacy & Representation
A united voice for Christian communities in Pakistan: representing member churches before local and national authorities on religious freedom, education and social justice, calmly and within the law.
Education & Development
Five tuition-free Maranatha Christian High Schools and leadership training, giving children and church leaders access to quality, faith-based education across Pakistan.
Community Service
Beyond the church walls: ministries of mercy that care for the marginalised, support widows and orphans, and strengthen under-resourced communities in every district where the Council serves.
A hopeful nation
We believe that when churches in Pakistan are united, led well and devoted to service, the whole nation is blessed. A unified Church is our vision; a hopeful nation is our prayer; and by God's grace the Council will keep working towards both.
